Learn to Play

We have a few spots left in Learn to Play, a great opportunity for kids who have completed Learn to Skate and want to try hockey. Kids will develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and team play while having fun in an informal environment. Sessions are on Sunday afternoons through March.

Learn to Skate

Learn to Skate is designed for beginners to learn essential skating skills for hockey, figure skating, or both. Participants will cover basic techniques like balance, strides, and stopping, along with safety guidelines. The structured curriculum allows skaters to progress at their own pace, building confidence on the ice. Sessions are on Wednesdays starting on November 6th and run through February 26th.

Week 7 Player of the Week Nominations

  • Sonja Beaman, 14U B Grassi

Sonja had an assist in our game Saturday at Princeton but her real contributions came on Sunday against the Quakers. The team was really shorthanded so we were only able to run 3 players on defense. Sonja was on the ice every other shift shutting down players, making good outlet passes, carrying the puck into the offensive zone and playing physically when needed. She never missed a beat when her name was called and maintained a positive attitude the entire game even though the entire team as exhausted. Sonja led by example and helped keep our team in the game in a tough situation.

  • Nolan Killion, 10U A National Bojarski

I am excited to nominate Nolan Killion for Player of the Week for his outstanding performance during our recent game against Genesis Kapp. Nolan showcased not only his exceptional defensive skills but also his dedication to teamwork and sportsmanship. Throughout the game, Nolan's hustle was a key factor in minimizing scoring chances for the opposing team. His relentless pursuit of the puck and effective forechecking not only disrupted their plays but also led to a crucial assist that contributed to our team's success. Moreover, Nolan's positive energy was infectious as he consistently cheered for his teammates from the bench between shifts, demonstrating true camaraderie and support. His commitment to his teammates and the spirit of the game exemplifies what youth hockey is all about. For his solid defense, teamwork, and unwavering support for his peers, I wholeheartedly believe that Nolan Killion deserves to be recognized as Player of the Week. His contributions on and off the ice truly make him a standout player.

  • Willy Scime, 12U B O'Reilly

Willy showed great hustle and scored 3 goals.

Week 7 Play of the Week Nominations

  • Nate Iacoangelo, 14U B Grassi

Nate gets himself in a good position for the breakout pass, carries past 2 defenders for the breakaway and then goes top cheese. It's worth noting that Nate is typically a defenseman and prefers to play on D but played forward for us yesterday because we were short players.

  • Asher Mellott, 12U A National Johnson

Asher edged out his opponent for a loose puck, found space, protected the puck, and used deception to buy more time and space where he found an open teammate (Alex Hicks) for a clean shot on goal. The shot was tipped in by Ian Faber.
