Give the gift of giving back by attending Family Skate on Sunday, 12/22 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and bring some canned food for donation. Be sure to bring the kids, as Santa told us he will stop in for a skate!

Cougars Updates
Player of the Week
Travis Harrop, 10U A National Bojarski
In our recent game against Genesis Ruina, Travis delivered an exceptional performance that showcased his all-around skill and dedication to the game. His relentless forechecking created multiple scoring opportunities for the Cougars, while his solid backchecking and defensive zone positioning were instrumental in generating several successful defensive zone breakouts. Travis’s efforts were a key factor in the Cougars overall success.
Play of the Week
Brycen Bley, 10U A Bojarski
Ethan Bojarski sets the play in motion by getting the puck deep into the offensive zone. Brycen Bley battles hard to regain possession and feeds it back to Ethan. Bojarski delivers a precise pass to Travis Blaine at the point, and Blaine threads a laser-like pass to Brycen Bley, who taps it in for the goal. A fantastic display of teamwork and execution!
8U Crosby Wins the Avalanche XPress Mite Outdoor Classic
This weekend, the 8U Cougars won the Avalanche XPress Mite Outdoor Classic in impressive fashion! Friday afternoon the Cougars stormed out of the gates with goals from Andrew Crosby and Trevor Blaine defeating the York Devils 6-2. After a raucous pizza party and a good night's sleep, they came out fresh on Saturday morning scoring seven goals (Knox Weymouth hat trick, Baird Shaw wraparound goal, Carter Shulak rebound tally, and two big goals from Vivian Dellaquila) against Piedmont with Reese Stoltzfus garnering her second shutout of the season! After some downtime and snow-tubing the Cougars faced a tough opponent in the Richmond Royals on Saturday night. Despite some tremendous defense by Max Ritter, Dellaquilla, and Tate Gerbron, the Royals were too much for Chester County to handle- with the Cougars falling 5-3, the Cougars still with enough tournament points to force a rematch against the Royals the next morning in the Finals. The Cougars woke up to a nice breakfast the next morning, with some parents and players overhearing the Royals talking about how they "beat CCSC yesterday- so they could do it again today." Well, that was enough of a motivator for these Cougars! The Final game was one for the ages- a seesaw tilt- with back-and-forth goals from the Royals and Cougars resulting in a tie score going into overtime. The Cougars huddled up, had a spirited pump-up speech, and got to work, with Tate Gerbron scoring the Tournament winner on a wrist shot a minute into the extra frame. The players and coaches flooded the ice in exhilaration and congratulated the opponent for a great battle!

14U A National Figueroa Spreads Holiday Cheer
We partnered with the Wilmington Nighthawks 14U team in a holiday toy drive for children at Wilmington Hospital with chronic illnesses.
16U A National Doucette Places 2nd in the Lake Placid American Cup Tournament
Congratulations to our CCSC 16UA National team for taking 2nd place in the Lake Placid American Cup Tournament! Several inches of fresh snow set the stage for game one against Ontario’s Cambridge Hawks. The game ended in a tough 5-4 loss, but the boys fueled up on Subway and played Ontario’s Whitby Wildcats to a 4-4 tie later that evening. After a night of sledding and another round (or two) of Subway, the Cougars beat Team Philly 5-3 and were headed to the finals. They faced the Cambridge Hawks again in the Championship Game and came up short with a 7-4 loss. Ryan Salfas, Parker Thompson, Andrew Palahunik, and Luke Ganly were each named Player of the Game, and Drew Showers took home the Sportsmanship Award.
