🏒 Carolina Cup Fall Classic Recap

Our Cougars 14U team battled hard in Charlotte, finishing as Finalists with a 2–2 record!

✅ W 5–2 vs Navy Rams (Slowik 2G, Fuller 2G & Showers goal)

✅ W 4–2 vs Greenville Rage (Showers 2G, Kulp & Fuller goals)

❌ L 1–5 vs Carriage Club Penguins (Friedemann goal)

❌ L 1–3 Championship vs Penguins (Showers goal)

Beyond the rink, the team also built great memories together—hanging out at the pool, playing paintball, and battling it out in arcade games. 🏒🎯🎮 Congratulations to the whole squad for grit, teamwork, and an impressive run to the finals. 👏🐾

⭐ Play and Player of the Week

Ryan Salfas–16U AA Grassi: Despite a weekend of injuries leaving the team short-handed, Ryan stepped up as a leader on and off the ice. He logged significant ice time on both the power play and penalty kill lines, and capped it off with a hat trick against Princeton—his third of the season.

Baird Shaw–10U A American Shaw: Baird came up big with a face-off win and a quick shot just before the end of the 2nd period, giving his team a crucial momentum boost.

⛸️ Figure Skating Updates

A reminder that the Figure Skating program begins on Wednesday, October 1.

Skaters will take the ice on:

Mondays, 6:50–8:10 p.m.

Wednesdays, 7:00–8:10 p.m.

We look forward to welcoming skaters back on the ice for a new season of growth, skill development, and fun.

🏒 CCSC Learn to Play

Session Dates: 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26

Time: Sundays 4:30–5:20 p.m.

Fee: $180 per session ($25 discount for each additional session)

Details:

Designed for skaters who have completed Learn to Skate
For players with little or no organized hockey experience
Ages 4+
Full hockey equipment required
Includes Family Skate and Open Hockey sessions

📌 Registration is open for Session 1 and Session 2

🏒 Flyers Learn to Play Rookie Program—Session 2 Registration Now Open

Session Dates: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 12/7, 12/14

Time: Sundays 4:30–5:20 p.m.

Fee: $274 per session

Details:

Includes free head-to-toe equipment for first-time participants
Ages 5–9
Certified coaching and age-appropriate instruction
Runs in conjunction with CCSC Learn to Play
Players outside the age range of 5–9 should register for CCSC Learn to Play

⛸️ Learn to Skate

Starts: Wednesday, Nov. 5

Runs through: Early March

Time: Wednesdays 6:20–6:50 p.m.

Fee: $600 per skater
