Cougars Updates

Henry Jackman, 10U B Eisel

Played an overall great game with a short bench

Quinn Moorehead, 10U A American Crosby

Quinn started the scoring less than 30 seconds into the game and kept going till the final whistle. He potted 5 goals to help the Cougars lock down a hard-earned win. But his outstanding play wasn't limited to the offensive side of the puck. His effective forchecking, quality passes and tireless backchecking made sure his goals didn't go to waste in a losing effort. Quinn stepped up as a second-year player and led by example.

Stephen Crosby, 10U A American Crosby

Stephen Crosby logged big minutes on the blue line in a 9-5 win. Stephen was tasked with dropping back to defense for the 2nd game of a Sat/Sun back-to-back situation and delivered an A+ performance to help his team grind out another victory. He used his excellent skating ability to control his gaps and shut down nearly all of the Jr Pens rushes. He effectively used his stick to poke numerous pucks loose and would then make accurate passes to his teammates for quick transitions to offense. He was also able to get a goal as he stole the puck in his zone and rushed down the ice, beating the goalie with a quick low shot under the blocker. Overall Stephen and all his teammates had an outstanding weekend and look to carry that into this coming tournament weekend. Go Cougars!
