MAWHA 8U Jamboree
Our Cougars 8U girls had a great time at the MAWHA 8U Jamboree!
From Coach Nick Matarese:
The Cougars 8U girls team had a great opening jamboree this weekend, playing five mini games on Sunday. Some girls played in their first games ever, while some of our older players caught their rhythm with multi-goal games. Lots of camaraderie and friendships were made on the ice, with locker room antics, and post-game laughs. We are all looking forward to our next games as a team.
Go Cougars 🏒💚💛🖤!!!

Player of the Week
Travis Harrop
12U AA - Bojarski
Travis had a strong weekend, bringing consistent effort and intensity to both games! He worked hard on the forecheck, battled along the walls, and did a great job winning puck battles. Travis was also a key contributor to the penalty kill and made smart decisions with the puck. His work ethic, toughness, and consistent effort made a difference at both ends of the ice. Great job Travis!
Play of the Week
Evan Free
12U AA- Bojarski
In this play, Evan uses lightning fast reflexes to make a great rebound save!
Caroline Gerbron
10U A National- Blaine
A major focus with our 10U players this season is showing up ready to bring our best versions of ourselves to practice every night. Through persistent effort and healthy competition in practice, our players not only elevate their own skills — they challenge their teammates to raise their game too. We love celebrating great compete levels during the week because those practice habits directly translate to game-day success. Caroline perfectly embodies our "champion teammate" motto. She never backs down from a challenge — most recently demonstrated by a phenomenal backcheck effort where she hunted down an opponent, and hustled hard all the way back to break up a scoring chance [Caroline is #13 in black].
Way to set the tone, Caroline! Keep up the fantastic work!
