Player of the Week
Hudson Reihl
10U A National - Blaine
Hudson had an extraordinary opening weekend, leading the Cougars to back-to-back victories in our first two games of league play. While putting up an incredible offensive clinic — racking up 6 goals and 3 assists — what impressed the coaching staff most was his relentless work ethic on both sides of the puck, his unshakeable positive attitude, and his commitment to being an exceptional teammate. Hudson set the standard for how Cougars hockey should be played.
James Casale
10U B National - Newton
James had a great game in net against the Jr. Blue Hens this weekend! James kept his spirits and energy high, making a multitude of saves throughout the game. He helped keep the score tight, and exemplified what it means to be a Cougar. Well done James!
Play of the Week
Trevor Blaine
10U A National - Blaine
Trevor had an extraordinary opening game, leading the Cougars to a thrilling 6-3 victory in our first game of league play. While putting on an offensive clinic — scoring three goals for a hat trick with an assist — what impressed the coaching staff most was his relentless grit and determination. Trevor never let his smaller stature deter him from getting right into the battle. Whether relentlessly tracking down loose pucks straight off the face-off, or firing a laser wrist shot top corner, Trevor proved that tenacity, heart, and fearless play define Cougars hockey.
Ben Knauss
10U A American - Ritter
In a back-and-forth game against the Wilmington Nighthawks this weekend, our Cougars never gave up. With about 2.5 minutes left, Ben Knauss came through with a timely breakaway and a beautiful five hole finish to clinch the game for the team! The whole team continues to play with great energy and skates hard from start to finish. They have battled to achieve hard-fought victories that have kept the team undefeated in league play. Great job Cougars!
Team Fun!
Coach Reis's 14U team held their first monthly "Candy Cup" this week. Student coaches Danny and Liam drafted their players and led their teams to battle in a half-ice scrimmage to secure the title — and the candy — for the month of September. This month, congratulations go to Team Danny: Brophy Betz, Bradley Bozeman, Cooper Fox, Griff Goetz, Shane Kulp, Ian Mazzagatti, Talula Muetterties-Ranck, Luke Westerman, and Tomas Ancinec!
