Players of the Week
Mack Tilley
10U B Eisel
Mack has shown incredible progress since the start of the season, and his performance at the DC tournament truly highlighted his growth. Including a hat trick in the very first game, he recorded an impressive 6 goals in 4 games and was a true offensive leader for the team. His constant speed, strong puck-handling skills, and confidence with the puck kept opposing defenses on their toes all weekend. We are extremely proud of how far Mack has come and the dedication he shows every time he steps on the ice. With his skill, determination, and work ethic, the sky is truly the limit for what he can achieve. Way to go Mack Attack!
The Entire 18U AA Team
18U AA Doucette
The 18AA team had an unbelievable hockey weekend. As if coming back from 2 goals down each of the first 2 games was not enough, the Cougars put on a show in the pivotal game 3. Down 4-2 with 2:51 left in the game, the Cougars scored 4 goals for a 6-4 win to earn a second place seeding for the medal round. In the semi-final, the team faced a solid Valley Forge team. Despite outshooting them and beating them in all aspects of the game, the score was 1-1 at the end of regulation. Not to be denied, the Cougars dominated play in the OT period, finally scoring the game winner with 1.8 seconds left in the game. Riding that emotion into the Championship game, the Cougars 18AA dominated the Richmond Generals to win 6-2. The team effort and will to win was on full display. I can speak for the entire Coaching staff when I say we could not be happier or more proud of this team.
