Week 9 Play of the Week Nominations
Connor Okonski, 10U A National Bojarski
This week, we proudly recognize Connor Okonski for his outstanding performance during Saturday’s game against the Central Penn Panthers. When the Panthers launched a rapid breakaway, Connor displayed remarkable composure and athleticism that truly set him apart. With lightning-fast reflexes, he positioned himself perfectly, anticipating the shooter’s move. In a moment that left Cougars fans gasping, Connor made an incredible save that not only thwarted a certain goal but also ignited a wave of energy on the ice, leading to a fast break for his offense. This phenomenal save showcased Connor’s skill as a goalkeeper, as well as his determination, commitment, and invaluable contribution to the team’s success. Let’s celebrate Connor Okonski for his remarkable performance!
Week 9 Player of the Week Nominations
Ryder Manuel, 10U B Eisel
Ryder scored a hat trick agains the Wilmington Nighthawks.
Kenny Davis, 10U A National Bojarski
I would like to nominate Kenny for Player of the Week following his outstanding performance against the Central Penn Panthers. Kenny's relentless hustle and aggressive forechecking were key factors in creating multiple scoring opportunities for the team. He demonstrated excellent teamwork with his passing skills, setting up plays and supporting his teammates. His hard work in the third period paid off with two assists, directly contributing to the team's success. Kenny’s commitment to giving his best on both ends of the ice was evident, and his positive impact on the game was clear to all. Great work, Kenny—keep it up!
Isabela Rezer, 12U B O'Reilly
Bella scored her first game and was impactful to help us win the game.
Alex Hicks, 12U A National Johnson
Alex has been a big party of the success of the team this year. Coming into the season Alex had the skills of a much higher level player. He is naturally athletic with strong drive. As the season has progressed we have challenged Alex to grow his game in ways that will serve him in years to come and to fight the complacency we often seeing with successful youth players. Alex has stepped up in every way and grown his game even when it meant playing a different game with a less fruitful outcome. Alex was our stability this weekend and last and we are looking forward to watching him mature further as his career presses on.
Alex Bojarski, 14U A Figeuroa
Alex has worked hard and challenged himself in practices. That effort has paid off as he scored the tying goal in the 3rd period against a very tough Genesis 14U O’Neill team. We ended with a tie through an overtime period. He helped solidify 2 points for us!
