What a weekend for the Cougars! Our club was buzzing with action both locally and on the road. Four teams competed at the Outdoor Riverworks Tournament in Buffalo, NY, where our 10U A National team battled their way to a 2nd-place finish. Closer to home, two Cougars teams hit the Liberty Cup Tournament in Philly, and our 12U A American squad brought home the 1st-place banner after an outstanding run.

Back home, our teams hit the ice with energy, grit, and some big-time performances. Here’s how the Cougars stacked up this weekend in league games:

10U A American

✅ Cougars 11 – Susquehanna Stampede 4

12UA American won first place at the MyHockey Tournament in Philly

The Cougars 12UA competed in the Liberty Cup at Oaks this past weekend and proudly won the championship banner! The team played with determination, tying their first two games before elevating their performance to deliver an impressive 11-1 victory over the Jersey Colts. In the championship game against the Red Bank Generals, the Cougars showcased their dominance right from the first puck drop. Goalies Evan Free and Bo Schugar both put in outstanding performances in net. Congratulations, Cougars!

10UA National was a finalist at the Riverworks Outdoor Classic in Buffalo, NY

Player of the Week

Matt Ilg

16U AA Grassi

Matt had two points in our game Sunday, scoring the game-winning goal and assisting on our first. He’s one of the hardest-working players on our team, and his effort and positive attitude set the pace of the game and set a great example for the group.

Willy Scime

12U A American Post

We would like to nominate Willy Scime for Player of the Week. Willy played hard throughout a busy tournament weekend. His solid defense helped minimize scoring chances against our opponents, and he was a key player in keeping the puck deep in the offensive zone. Great effort, Willy!

Lucas Rowe

14UAA Figueroa

Lucas is one of our goalies, but has been playing offense due to multiple injuries to other teammates. Lucas scored 2 goals and had 1 assist in 2 games this past weekend. Lucas is always looking to help the team in any way he can. He definitely stepped up this weekend!
