The Donovan Family

Applications are Open for the Donovan Memorial Scholarships

We are excited to announce the fourth year of the Donovan Memorial Scholarships. The Donovan Memorial Scholarships consists of $1000 scholarships for two graduating members of the Chester County Skating Club. The Scholarships are given in honor of John Donovan and Billy Donovan, who both passed away in 2022. The Donovans have a long history at CCSC and it was a second home for both Billy and John. Katy, wife of John and mother of Billy, was President of CCSC for nine years and the five other Donovan children all played for the Cougars, and some also worked at the barn.

Each scholarship will be given to a unique skater that is graduating from the Club and exudes the qualities that Billy or John were known for. To apply, the candidate should submit a short letter explaining what CCSC has meant to them (less than a page), along with a recommendation letter from their HEAD coach to the Board. The Board, with input from the Donovan (Knauss, Burke, Davis) Family, will pick the two recipients. The scholarships will be awarded at the end of the winter season. LETTERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN JANUARY 16TH, 2026, AND THE WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED BETWEEN THE 18A AND 18AA HOME GAMES ON FEBRUARY 7TH, 2026

Cougars 8U Girls Take on the Mite Girls Turkey Revenge Jamboree

Our 8U Girls had a blast at the Mite Girls Turkey’s Revenge Jamboree! These jamborees are FREE and open to any girls born in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 who live in the area. If you know an 8U girl who might like to join the fun, please reach out to jaimeescheff@yahoo.com. Up next is the Holiday Hat Trick Girls Jamboree on December 14th.
